Scheduling

Contract clients, clients who are not on a Pay Per Session basis, are guaranteed the same time slot each week for the length of the contract. Periodically, the Tutor may request the Client to change the regularly scheduled appointment. The change in scheduling will only be made upon approval and consent of client.

Clients who are on a Pay Per Session basis will have the same time-slot subject to Tutor’s availability. At least one week’s advance notice will be given to Client before any changes are made to the schedule for any non-emergency or non-illness reason.

Cancellation Policy

Client Cancellation:

Any client who has selected the Pay Per Session plan will have his or her Tutoring Contract terminated after two (2) appointments cancelled without twenty-four (24) hours notice. Client will be notified in writing upon the second cancellation.

Pre-Pay Contracts

Cancellations are not refunded. If Client must cancel an appointment, a good faith effort will be made to reschedule a make-up appointment for the same week. Make-up sessions cannot be scheduled for dates beyond the current week.

Tutor Cancellation

Should the Tutor need to cancel the contract or a session, Client may be refunded by check or Client may reschedule for the same week or later in the calendar school year.

Client Contract Termination

If Client needs to terminate the Tutoring Contract prior to the last contracted session, Client must provide Tutor with one-week written notice. Notice is given upon receipt by Tutor. Telephone calls or facsimiles are not sufficient notice. Notice may be given by formal letter or by email to alex@brooklynmathtutor.com . Client will still be responsible for remaining sessions scheduled during Client’s final week. Upon Notice, Client must pay an Early Withdrawal fee of ten percent (10%) of cost of the remaining sessions, or pay for the hours rendered up to the contract termination at the rate for the number of hours rendered, whichever is greater. Refunds will be issued by check fourteen (14) business days from date notice was received if session was prepaid.

No-Show Policy

Clients who are not present at the pre-determined location when Tutor arrives or who are more than fifteen (15) minutes late are considered No-Shows. If Client is a No-Show, he or she is still responsible for payment of the tutoring session.

Pay-Per-Session clients must present payment for the session in which he or she was a No-Show at the Next Session for tutoring to continue. Until full payment is made, all future appointments will be suspended.

Additionally, Clients who arrive late will only be tutored for the remainder of the scheduled tutoring session. There will be no prolonged sessions.
